The Danger of Banking Institutions

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.  If the American people ever allow  private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered".

Auf  deutsch hätte Thomas Jefferson 1802 (etwa) gesagt:
"Ich glaube, daß Bankinstitute unsere Freiheit mehr gefährden als kampfbereite Armeen. Wenn das amerikanische Volk privaten Banken jemals erlaubt, Geld zu kontrollieren, erst durch Inflation, dann durch Deflation, werden Banken und Unternehmen, die in ihrem Umfeld entstehen, die Leute um ihr Eigentum bringen - bis ihre Kinder als Obdachlose auf dem Kontinent aufwachen, den ihre Väter eroberten."
